Never Old Girl is a story of an old girl living her life in her own way from the stages of change, fear, rejection and confusion; to acknowledgement, acceptance and self-deprecation. She imagines her experience as a tangerine—trying to make her life into a salt-preserved tangerine. The old girl looks back over her life on the rooftop with Ding-ding, her beloved cat, while enjoying the beautiful sunset and the taste of life.
The girl matures into an “old girl” without realising it. Gravity affects her, and she
has faced physical and psychological changes because of ageing and her friends, making her feel anxious and frustrated. One day, the old girl gets on the mysterious “last train” after getting hurt at a birthday party. The Chinese god of love on the train tries to point her in the right direction.
